He is an expert in renewable energy sources, waste management, the circular economy and environmental engineering. Affiliated with Poznań University of Life Sciences, he became a professor at the age of 36. He is the author of more than 200 scientific publications and a respected figure in the international research community. For four consecutive years (2022–2025), he was included in Stanford University’s prestigious ranking of the world’s top 2% most influential scientists. He serves as an expert for the European Commission and collaborates with leading international academic publishers, including Springer Nature, Elsevier and Wiley. His work combines innovative research into waste bioconversion with practical efforts to strengthen the region’s energy potential.

Under his leadership, since 2002, PZPM has grown into the largest Polish employers’ organisation representing the automotive industry. It brings together official importers, manufacturers’ representatives, and producers of motor vehicles and motorcycles, as well as manufacturers of vehicle bodies, trailers, semi-trailers, and parts, assemblies, and components intended for original equipment installation. PZPM supports initiatives aimed at developing and promoting Poland’s automotive sector and participates in government and parliamentary committee proceedings, providing opinions on draft legislation of key importance to the automotive industry. It also represents the interests of its member companies within European Union institutions, including the European Parliament and the European Commission. In 2019, he took on the prestigious role of Chair of the Liaison Committee at ACEA (European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association), bringing together the heads of automotive organisations from 30 European countries (associated members). The committee operates within the ACEA structure alongside the association’s full members, which include all major European automotive manufacturers.

She has been involved in local government for more than 20 years. Since 2018, she has served as Secretary of the Municipality of Wołomin, where she is responsible not only for administration but also for environmental policy and the municipal waste management system. As part of these responsibilities, she serves as the Mayor’s Plenipotentiary for Waste Management, developing and implementing local strategies for sustainable development and the green transition. She is Chair of the Municipal Services and Environmental Protection Committee and Deputy Chair of the Climate Committee of the Association of Polish Cities. She represents local governments on the Advisory Team for Systemic Solutions in Waste Management at the Ministry of Climate and Environment. She holds a degree in Landscape Architecture from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), a postgraduate degree in public administration management, and is a graduate of the Interuniversity Climate Academy. She began her career at Warsaw’s Municipal Cleaning Authority, where she was responsible, among other things, for city parks and public greenery. She is the initiator and leader of the “Clean Wołomin” programme, a local education and communication system supporting the implementation of source-separated waste collection. For many years, she has also been active in the non-governmental sector, where she has led environmental education campaigns at local, national, and international levels. She is an environmental education expert and a member of the Polish Dendrological Society. A passionate advocate for wildlife, she combines effective local government management with a strong commitment to environmental protection.

She has extensive experience in environmental management within international companies operating in the construction and waste management sectors. She spent 12 years at Remondis and, for the past four years, has headed the Environmental Protection Department at Poland’s largest construction company, which delivers major road, railway, hydrotechnical, and building projects in Poland and abroad. She is an expert in developing and maintaining organisational structures and procedures, as well as in reporting. Her responsibilities include building environmental teams, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, implementing environmental strategies, developing circular economy solutions, and managing the environmental (“E”) aspects of ESG, including pollution, water and wastewater management, and biodiversity. She successfully implements solutions that strengthen companies’ environmental compliance and operational security. She is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). She also completed postgraduate studies in Environmental Protection Law at Lazarski University and in ESG Business Models and Sustainability Reporting at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.

A waste management specialist with more than 16 years of experience in the sector. He works for the “Clean City, Clean Municipality” Municipal Association. He initiated and developed an educational centre at the facility, where he has conducted waste management workshops for more than 12,000 children, young people, university students, and local government officials. He has actively participated in consultations concerning the planning, design, equipment, construction, and operation of Municipal Selective Waste Collection Points (PSZOKs) across several municipalities. He collaborates with Lodz University of Technology and the University of Lodz and works as a consultant in the waste management sector.

She has been involved in environmental protection administration since 1984, initially serving as a manager in the Environmental Protection Department of the Leszno Voivodeship Office, followed by managerial positions at the Voivodeship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection in Leszno and Poznań.

She served as Deputy Greater Poland Voivodeship Inspector for Environmental Protection. From March to October 2019, she held the position of Deputy Director of the Inspection Department at the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection (GIOŚ), and from October 2019 to May 2022, she served as Director of the Inspection Department.

From 2007 to 2011, she was a member of the National Environmental Council attached to the President of the Republic of Poland.

Since April 2025, she has served as Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection.

She has been actively involved in building the organisation’s Polish branch almost since its establishment, contributing to key projects across Poland as well as activities at the European level through close cooperation with its headquarters in Brussels and regional European offices.

She has extensive experience in managing public relations, educational, and promotional campaigns related to plastics and the plastics industry. Her professional background includes working as a journalist and editor for industry publications, as well as serving as a technical and legislative manager at an FMCG industry association.

She holds a degree in chemistry and a PhD in technical sciences, specialising in polymer technology, from the Faculty of Chemistry at Warsaw University of Technology. She also completed postgraduate studies in Social Communication and Media organised by the Foundation for the Dissemination of Science and the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

He is a mentor and advisor to startups in the Industry Lab and Industry Lab GREEN accelerator programmes, operated by DGA S.A., a company established in 1990.

Grzegorz has over 20 years of experience in managerial positions at Polish and international companies. He specializes in the practical implementation of innovation and building a culture of innovation within organizations.

He is an Investment Manager at the Space Bridge Fund venture capital fund and the author of the first handbook introducing the “La Salle Matrix Thinking” method — a structured approach to designing innovative products and services.

He has extensive experience in delivering training, workshops and consulting for startups, particularly in the areas of bringing innovations to market, raising seed capital, preparing pitch decks and investor decks, and applying methodologies such as La Salle Matrix Thinking, Design Thinking, Business Model Canvas, Lean Startup and SCRUM.

An expert with many years of experience in public affairs and legislation, specialising in regulations concerning packaging and packaging waste management.

At the Lewiatan Confederation, he is responsible for the Circular Economy (CE) area and coordinates the work of the CE Council and the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Working Group. His expertise includes Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), Deposit Return Systems (DRS), and EU regulations, in particular the Waste Framework Directive, PPWR, ESPR, EUDR, and SUPD.

Previously, he worked for producer responsibility organisations and industry associations, where he was responsible for legislative monitoring, coordinating business positions, and maintaining dialogue with public authorities and policymakers.

He represents the interests of businesses in the legislative process at both the national and EU levels.

He is a graduate of AGH University of Krakow, where he studied Fuels and Energy. He further developed his education through a scholarship programme at École Nationale Supérieure des Mines and an MBA programme delivered in cooperation with Franklin University.

He gained professional experience at companies including Lafarge and Saint-Gobain Isover France, where he spent nearly four years as a specialist in the Global Engineering Department. His responsibilities included analysing process efficiency, the profitability of new plant construction and investment costs.

He has been with the Veolia Group and the industrial waste management sector for 16 years, including hazardous waste management at SARPI Dąbrowa Górnicza, home to the largest hazardous waste incineration facility in this part of Europe. He initially worked as a Project Manager, overseeing new investments and the development and optimisation of existing facilities, before becoming Operations Director and Vice President.

Since 2019, he has served as President of the Management Board and General Manager of SARPI Dąbrowa Górnicza. He combines technical and managerial expertise with an analytical approach to management and a strong commitment to developing modern and safe waste management solutions. From 2023 to 2025, he was also responsible for the overall management of the Veolia Hazardous Waste Germany incineration plant in Schkopau. He is an experienced expert in comprehensive hazardous waste management, combining engineering knowledge with many years of experience in business management and investment projects.

A lawyer and graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She specialises in medical law and healthcare management. She has worked, among others, for the Greater Poland Medical Chamber, and since 2004 has practised as an attorney-at-law, advising local governments and businesses.

From 2005 to 2012, she successively managed hospitals in Słupca and Pleszew in the Greater Poland region. In 2012, she was appointed Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Health and subsequently became President of the National Health Fund (NFZ), which she headed until the end of 2013.

She later managed the “University Centre for Dentistry and Specialist Medicine” in Poznań, advised hospital owners and healthcare institutions, and worked as an expert for the Supreme Audit Office (NIK).

From 2017 to 2024, she headed the Greater Poland Branch of the National Health Fund in Poznań. Since 2025, she has served as President of the Greater Poland Recycling Centre in Jarocin. She also continues to work as an attorney-at-law and healthcare expert

I specialise in the practical implementation of environmental and ESG requirements, combining regulatory compliance with effective business process management. I coordinate efforts to adapt organisations to rapidly changing national and EU regulations in the areas of waste and packaging management, the deposit return system, and sustainability reporting.

I am responsible for implementing ESG requirements and fulfilling obligations arising from environmental regulations. I manage waste and packaging-related activities, implement circular economy principles, develop processes related to the deposit return system, and prepare organisations for requirements arising from the PPWR and EUDR regulations, as well as ESG reporting in line with ESRS standards.

On a daily basis, I work with operational, legal and business teams, supporting the development of responsible and sustainable solutions. I lead and coordinate environmental audits, support ESG risk identification, and help build systems that ensure compliance with legal and environmental requirements.

I am also involved in environmental education initiatives, promoting knowledge about sustainable travel, responsible resource management, consumption, and the practical aspects of the circular economy.

In my free time, I am passionate about travel, interval training, herpetofauna, and the planetary diet.

An environmental lawyer working at the European Commission, Directorate-General for Environment (DG ENV), within the Directorate for Circular Economy, in the Waste to Resources Unit. She is a member of the team working on end-of-life vehicles, which prepared the draft regulation on circular design requirements for vehicles and the management of end-of-life vehicles.

She holds a PhD in Law, having defended her doctoral dissertation entitled “Waste as an Object of Civil-Law Transactions from the Perspective of Implementing the Circular Economy”. It is the first study in Polish legal literature to examine waste-related issues also from the perspective of civil law and to place them within the broader concept of the circular economy. In her work, she explains complex legal issues in an accessible manner, analyzing EU, Polish and German legislation on waste management, as well as the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and administrative courts. The publication reflects the legal framework as of 1 May 2025.

Head of the Public Procurement Law Department. A lawyer specialising in administrative and private business law, with particular expertise in the complexities of public procurement and public-private partnerships (PPP).

For the past decade, he has supported contracting authorities and contractors in effectively operating in the public procurement market, both at a strategic level and in their day-to-day activities. He assists public procurement market participants in preparing tender documents, bids, and all documentation related to public procurement procedures. He represents clients before the National Chamber of Appeals (KIO) and supervisory authorities, including the President of the Public Procurement Office, particularly in audits concerning the use of external funding.

An experienced speaker at training sessions and conferences, he is the author of three books on public procurement, chapters in collective publications, and hundreds of articles published in sources including the LEX and Legalis legal information systems, specialist journals such as Przetargi Publiczne and Monitor Zamówień Publicznych, and local government and municipal publications including Przegląd Komunalny and Wspólnota. He has also provided expert commentary for Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, Rzeczpospolita, and Prawo.pl.

He completed his academic career at the doctoral level at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He works in both Polish and English.

Since 2024, she has served as Director of Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability, having previously spent 19 years as Director of Scientific and Legislative Affairs at the Polish Association of the Cosmetics Industry.

She is responsible for coordinating the organisation’s technical and regulatory activities, including preparing positions, monitoring legislative developments affecting the cosmetics industry at national and international level, representing the association in public consultations in Poland and Europe, coordinating internal working groups, preparing educational materials for cosmetics companies, providing scientific, technical and regulatory advice to member companies, and working with trade media and training institutions on industry-related matters. Since 2018, she has also led the organisation’s environmental agenda, including the European Green Deal and sustainability.

She participates in Cosmetics Europe Working Groups. She is the author of numerous publications in specialist and scientific journals, a speaker at technical and scientific conferences, and a co-author of several books.

She graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry at Warsaw University of Technology and completed postgraduate studies in Cosmetic Chemistry, as well as numerous courses in toxicology and sustainability, including the Specialist in the Circular Economy of Plastic Packaging programme (Pack Alliance). She is currently completing postgraduate studies in ESG Manager: Sustainability in Business at Civitas University. She holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the Faculty of Chemistry at Warsaw University of Technology.

Ekorum specialises in organising highly regarded industry training programmes, conferences and technical study visits, as well as delivering environmental education and environmental communication initiatives for local governments and the waste and environmental sectors.

Paweł Szadziewicz works with municipalities, municipal companies and private-sector organisations to develop and implement educational and information initiatives focused on environmental communication and education, providing ongoing, long-term support in this area.

Since 2011, he has organised a nationwide conference series focused, among other topics, on Municipal Selective Waste Collection Points (PSZOKs), with nine editions to date. He also co-developed recommendations for the Ministry of the Environment on the establishment of PSZOKs and repair points.

He has served as a member of the competition jury evaluating concepts for the development of an Environmental Education Centre in Warsaw. For many years, he has also been designing educational trails, including at PSZOKs across Poland.

An experienced expert in waste management, renewable energy sources and environmental technologies. He holds a Master of Engineering degree in Eco-Energy Engineering from Poznań University of Life Sciences. He has also completed postgraduate studies in:

• Occupational Health and Safety Management (Poznań School of Logistics),
• Waste Management (Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice).

He has been working at the Greater Poland Recycling Centre in Jarocin since 2016. Until July 2025, he served as Head of the Biogas Plant, Composting and Renewable Energy Department and as Chief Technologist. He currently serves as Vice-President of the Management Board of the Greater Poland Recycling Centre, where he is responsible for implementing modern technological solutions in waste management and renewable energy.

She advises businesses, particularly manufacturing and processing companies, on environmental law and waste management. She specialises in packaging regulations, including the PPWR, and their impact on business operations and supply chain relationships.

She supports companies in, among other areas, determining the obligations and responsibilities of individual stakeholders, as well as in matters related to BDO, KOBiZE and environmental audits. She regularly delivers training sessions and webinars on the PPWR.

In 2026, she was, among other engagements, a panellist at the Interzero Environmental Conference, where she took part in a discussion on the PPWR from the perspective of manufacturers, processors and consumers. She is also the author of publications on environmental regulations and the green transition of businesses

She specialises in environmental protection law, with particular expertise in waste law and both Polish and EU regulations. She advises clients on obtaining environmental decisions, permits for waste collection and processing, waste generation permits, and integrated permits.

She supports clients in determining whether an environmental impact assessment is required for a proposed project and represents them in proceedings concerning environmental fees, penalties and liability for environmental damage. She also advises on matters relating to geological and mining law, energy law, greenhouse gas emissions, and emissions trading.

She conducts training sessions on waste law for businesses and local government representatives. Since August 2020, she has been a member of the Waste Management and Recycling Cluster – National Key Cluster. Since July 2022, she has served as President of the Management Board of the Association of Producers of Waste-Derived Fuels and Biomass.

An experienced expert and manager in public affairs and environmental regulations. At Carlsberg Polska, he is responsible for strategic projects related to the circular economy, particularly the deposit return system, extended producer responsibility (EPR), and PPWR.

He is a member of the Supervisory Board of Polski System Kaucyjny S.A. and the Management Board of the EKO-PAK Employers’ Association. On behalf of the Association of Polish Brewers, he represents the brewing industry in dialogue with government administration, parliament, EU institutions and business organisations.
